Another in a series of very silly weapons involving explosives.
Whole premise is that the wielder (presumably someone with some kind of magic) can enchant the explosives on the staff with some kind of magic, rip them off, light them and toss them. Resulting in fancy magic explosions. The staff can also be set for all of them to be lit or explode at the same time.

The night's not over, you're not trying hard enough; Our lives are changing lanes, ya ran me off the road; The way is overrun, now taken over; You're no longer laughing, I'm not drowning fast enough....
If you're silly enough to stand around when it's going to explode, yes.

Damn right! My friend and I were having a discussion about potential uses for this. Jam it into a target, set some kind of barrier spell to go off as the explosives go off and it'll contain the blast. The staff'll be gone but so will whatever was hit.
